“I’m running the ferry, but I don’t know where I’m going.”
Obviously, the ferry system needs to fall back to the unofficial “bring me a six pack and you can drive the ferry policy” followed back in the ’80s. There would at least be a larger potential pool of pilots in case of emergency.
