Love the Environment, Hate The Environmentalists
So Uncle Jawbreaker accused me the other day of being an environmentalist. I told him “No, I am not an environmentalist, but rather a naturalist.”
‘What’s the difference?” he asked.
“A naturalist is someone who is interested in and knows a lot about the natural world. An environmentalist is someone who hates people.”
What if you just hate most people?
Just tell JB that you’re not in favor of this and he might gain a better understanding of the difference.
The family will be at Ocracoke in 2 weeks, and I was hoping to take the kids surf fishing at least once. According to this, it might be a little crowded. We’ll see, but you might start looking into having FDS ’08 meet on Portsmouth or Lookout.

I’m an environmentalist and I most definitely DO NOT hate people! Labels can be harmful.
Since every living thing on Earth needs the environment for survival, we all are environmentalists whether we accept it or not.
Environmentalists do hate people. They usually are rich bastards who don’t care about affordable energy because it doesn’t effect them. They want high energy prices, they want high gas prices. The eco-nazis are the dregs of humanity.
I agree with Jim. Go ahead and carry your biodegradable bags and feel self righteous. Stop using water; bathe once a week. Fill in your pools and plant a garden. Pools use too much water and electricity with their pumps. Live under a bridge, and sleep under the moonlight. Stop burping! Park your cars and walk. Won’t make a difference at all. Bow down to the jet set enviromentalists as they look down on us.
Go naturalists. Shut your tromp, enviros!
I totally disagree with you. Environmentalists don’t hate people. We hate people who hate the environment. We should love our planet and respect it. We should keep our wild lands wild and not build on every last acre of land. We should respect all our creatures and natural habitats on this planet. It is the only home we have.
And we are destroying it. I am not a complete nut job. I just care about our home-planet and wish more people would do the same.
We have a climate crisis to solve people and drilling for oil is not the way to solve it.
Environmentalists don’t hate America or people. We just want to help the environment the right way. Continuing our oil addiction will get us nowhere, Gas prices will continue to skyrocket over $5 a gallon and we wont see any profit from the drilling while countless acres of once pristine wild wilderness will be ripped up. New Dirty coal plants will also ruin wild lands that should be protected. We have technology today to turn to clean alternative energy such as solar, wind and plug in electric and hybrid vehicles, nuclear energy and hydrogen cars. We should do these things now and pass a comprehensive alternative energy bill and hydrogen infrastructure/vehicles plan bill by 2015 ….and work to cut emissions by 90% by 2050.
Only by doing this will we solve the climate crisis and the gas crisis.
We cannot drill our way out of this problem
