My new niece, Ollie Grace, was dragged kicking and screaming into this world at 3:50 p.m. yesterday. After 28 hours of labor and three solid hours of pushing, the mother opted for delivery via c-section at her doctor’s advice. Apparently the child just wasn’t coming any other way. Narrow pelvis bone or something to that effect. Or the child is just as stubborn as every other member of the family. I like to think so at any rate.
The new arrival weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces. Seems like a nice healthy weight. Mother, father and child are all happy and well. Welcome, Ollie, and congrats to mom and dad. I can’t wait to meet the new niece!
