Carnival of the Vanities #243
It’s 10:30 on a Thursday night and I’m just getting home but, dedicated soul that I am, here I sit to present another edition of Carnival of the Vanities. I’m going to try to be brief this evening as I have given myself an eleven o’clock bedtime and I expect a call from a friend in San Francisco any minute now. I suspect that either I won’t get to bed at eleven or that the carny won’t get finished or both.
In the interest of time, something of which I never seem to have enough, let’s get started.

Okay, I just got off the phone, it’s 10:57 and I will be in bed in ten minutes. I’ve abandoned any thought of editing the carnival this week. From here on out, it’s just the entries I’ve received. Enjoy!
