We just launched a new fishing forecast on Weather.com at www.weather.com/fishing. I helped.
The site gives you the best times of day to fish in any given zip code or on any given lake in the U.S. based on solar and lunar positioning. You can also upload photos of your latest catch. Check it out..

Nice. Be helpful if I could scroll forward in time by clicking and dragging to see what the fishing will be like outside of the current window, or if I could drill down in detail so I could see an hour by hour display.

I like this info. Does it work? Will a poor fishing forecast keep you at home behind a beer or are you going to go against science and fish anyway?
Who would be interested in keeping a record of shad caught (for instance) vs. the chart prediction?
In the final anaylsis, I go when I can and fork the forecast. It would be neat however, to improve one’s odds by consulting the chart first.

Hey Sam,
Typically our planned fishing trips are scheduled around dates where the Solunars predict a heavy bite, but it does not define whether we fish or not.
And even on poor days, it helps to know when a bite is scheduled, so that we can put down the beer and pay abit closer attention to the lines.
