Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong moved Friday to drop rape charges against three Duke University lacrosse players.

Update: The kidnapping and sexual assault charges remain, at least for now. The accuser now says she “cannot testify with certainty” that she was raped.

Seems that it was sold to one of the Nipponese fellows that wander the docks in Beaufort looking for just such a fish, and the state rules apparently frown on that.
