Let me start by saying that we don’t appear to have any comments in the MT database here at Silflay Hraka. I’m not sure exactly what’s going on, but we have no comments on any blog using MT. I’ll check into it but hope it will resolve itself soon.

I don’t have a lot of time to update as I have to be at the airport in just under an hour to pick up a friend of mine. I thought I’d touch on a couple of topics before taking off to complete that task.

First off, let me say “Bon Voyage” to Chuckie Tomato, former NCSU head football coach. According to Raleigh’s own News & Observer, an announcement on Chuckie’s future is to be made tonight. After finishing the season with seven straight losses, it’s tough to imagine any announcement being made that reaffirms Chuckie as State’s coach. A quick scan of the message boards over at The Wolfpacker reveals how delusional State fans truly are. Failed Miami coach Larry Coker and WF coach Jim Grobe are being mentioned as potential successors to Tomato. State fans would revolt if it were Larry Coker and they’re dreaming if they think Jim Grobe will leave WF for the job.

Speaking of Jim Grobe and WF, congratulations to WF on winning the Atlantic Division of the ACC for the right to face Georgia Tech for the ACC Championship. I know Icehole is beside himself with glee. Congrats, buddy. If WF makes it to the Peach Bowl, you have a place to stay. I’ll probably go to the Peach Bowl no matter which ACC team is selected. What the heck.

Lastly, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I spent almost the entire holiday playing “Lego Star Wars II ” with my five year-old nephew. The kid is a machine when it comes to video games, much like his father. I awoke every morning of my stay in Boston at around 8:00 a.m. to the strains of the Star Wars soundtrack and received short breaks from it only for meals. For the record, Lego Star Wars is a great game. Nephew Ethan’s favorite character in the game was “BoBo Fett” (accent on all syllables), though he also liked Darth Vader and the Emperor (or as those in Boston say “the Emperah”. Nephew is already dropping his Rs, much to my Southern chagrin.)

That’s it for the weekend update. Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day! More soon. - Kehaar
