Last Sunday night, I downloaded and installed “World of Warcraft”.
Monday night, after going to the gym and eating dinner, I played WoW for about four hours. I was in bed by 11:30.
Tuesday night, after going to the gym and eating dinner and preparing for Carnival of the Vanities, I played WoW for about 2 hours. I was in bed by 11:45.
Wednesday night, I was not feeling well. My eyes were burning and my throat was sore. I came home from work and crashed on the sofa to nap. I did not go to the gym but I did eat dinner. I played WoW for about 4 hours. I was in bed by 12:15.
Thursday I was sick. Honest to God, I was under the weather. My eyes burned, my throat was sore, I had a headache and I could barely breathe from the congestion. I took a sick day from work.
I got up around 11:00 and started playing WoW around noon. I did break for lunch and a shower around 1:45. I went to dinner around 5:30. I played Wow for about 10 hours. I was in bed by 1:00 a.m.
I just had to kill Varnash, the ram-killing snow monster, before I went to bed for the night.
My dwarven rogue, Boriah, is now 13th level. He can fish, cook, make bandages and skin dead animals. He weilds a pair of knives and, as of about 11:45 last night, he can fire a gun. I also joined a guild. “Darkstar” something or other.
I did not call in sick again this morning but I was tempted. I am 85% better but I still have a little cough and other lingering symptoms.
I don’t have any plans for the evening.
I only started playing World of Warcraft because they offered me a free 10-day trial. Last night I found myself thinking that perhaps $14.99 a month wasn’t too much.
I’m only going to play a little while longer anyway.
Update Boriah’s battle cry:
Running out of the cliffs, swinging two hardened pitas, cometh Boriah! And he gives an ominous grunt:
“I’m going to spackle you with wasabi!”
