Alien Loves Predator: In New York, no one can hear you scream.

I was planning on just linking to the ALP’s I really liked. Then I realized that all of them make me laugh. I may just link to every ALP from here on out.

“World of Warcraft”: Destroyer of Worlds Productivity

Things I could have done last night instead of playing “World of Warcraft“:

  • Gone to the gym. I did walk for an hour before playing, so I don’t feel too guilty on that score. I’ll go to the gym tonight.
  • Fixed my kitchen sink. I have the parts. I just don’t have the motivation.
  • Painted my living room. Of course, I would have to decide on a color first. I seem drawn towards this mustard yellow that clashes with all my furniture.
  • Blogged. Enh.
  • Cleaned my spare room. Thankfully, there’s a door to that room that closes nicely. No one need every know.
  • Called my grandmother. I really need to call her. I called on Sunday, however, and got no answer twice. I let it ring like ten times. Certainly that’s plenty of time for Mamma to get to the phone if she’s available.
  • Started the Great American Novel. I don’t need WoW to put that one off. I find plenty of other excuses to delay that particular venture.
  • Gone to see “Jackass 2″. Again. On balance, WoW is probably a better use of the time.

None So Blind

An irresistable force encounters an impenetrable stupidity: Andrew Sullivan on what attracts gay men.

There is no connection between homosexuality and an attraction to teenage boys–or at least, no more than there is between male heterosexuality and an attraction to teenage girls.

Teenage girls? Hardly ever notice them. Like most heterosexual men, when I’m walking across campus on a warm day in May, the architecture is what attracts my eye.
