An Iranian newspaper is looking for Holocaust cartoons and other cartoons they hope will inflame the non-Muslim world. If this rather lame idea has the desired effect of angering the western world, a volley of retalitory cartoons is likely to follow.
At that point, this world’s Muslims will learn an unpleasant pair of lessons. First, the existing Muhammad cartoons are really quite tame. We’ve yet to see Muhammad’s head on a dog’s body. And second, you shouldn’t get in an insult contest with people who eat freedom for breakfast.
On an encouraging note, if there are any entries in this contest, it will stand as proof that Islam has reached the “cave paintings” stage of human societal evolution.
