One of the sites mentioned in the article, Optoutprescreen.com, allows you to opt out of pre-screened credit card or insurance mailings. The credit card companies claim that people know about this method of opting out of credit card mailings. I didn’t. I thought I’d pass it along for the rest of you who didn’t know about it either.
